A targeted public relations programme for the Dubai Airshow 2019 has already commenced and involves the national daily press throughout the Gulf states, selected Pan-Arab business and professional magazines and regional and international publications for the aerospace and aviation industries.

The public relations programme will ensure regular and extensive exposure throughout the world and is expected to include radio and television exposure.

Promotional material will be distributed throughout the region through trade and industry groups, government ministries, chambers of commerce, civil aviation authorities, airlines and embassies and direct to many thousands of potential visitors involved in all aspects of the industry.

Exhibitor Co-operation

It is an established fact that exhibitors who take steps on their own account to supplement the Organisers’ publicity as described above will obtain far greater value from participation than those who neglect the opportunity.

By conducting their own separate mailing, mounting a specific publicity campaign and paying special attention to the distribution of promotional material, exhibitors can greatly increase the level of response they receive from local visitors.

Please also contact Kate with details of your own plans for the Dubai Airshow 2019 – we would love to include exhibitor information in our press and social media campaigns, or quotes from your spokespeople. Please contact Kate directly to find out more information regarding this.

Attending Media

Aviation trade media, local and international newspapers and tv stations will all be attending the Dubai Airshow 2019, actively looking for news and stories to publicise to their audience. You can access them many ways – by holding a press conference, uploading information to our digital press box or contacting them directly. Our PR Manager, Kate McGinley, will be able to provide more information on these and share the registered media list as the show draws closer; so please get in touch with her for more details. Feel free to share her contact details with your PR representatives, either internally or with an agency if you use one.

If you are inviting media to visit you at the Dubai Airshow, please encourage them to apply for media badges ahead of time, to ensure they are not delayed on arrival to the show. Media badges, as with all other types of Dubai Airshow badge, are subject to security screening and applicants will have to provide a passport photo, so we are unable to provide exhibitors with batches to share with their media contacts. Please share this registration link with them to register to attend.

Digital Press Box

As an exhibitor, you will be able to upload your news and photographs to the digital press box. This digital link will be shared with all media attending the show giving them instant access to information to browse and download at their convenience, both in the lead up to and during the show. There is no limit to the number of items you can upload and the system can be used for word documents, images and pdfs as per your preferences, as long as individual files do not exceed 10MB.

To upload your information return to the Exhibitor Portal, and select Order Forms. From here select select ‘Digital Press Box’ under Optional Forms on the right hand side.

Press Conference Room Bookings

Each press conference room at Dubai Airshow 2019 is set up theatre style with 100 pax seating capacity, a lectern and top table with three seats, microphones, a sound system, and projector and screen. There are three available each day, subject to prior booking, and each can be booked in 45 minute slots for a cost of $1300 plus VAT.

Press conferences that have been booked in our press conference rooms will be promoted on the Dubai Airshow website and by email to all registered media, as well as publicised in the media centre on site each day during the show.

To upload your information return to the Exhibitor Portal, and select Order Forms. From here select select 'Press Conference Rooms' under Optional Forms on the right hand side.

Please Note: Refreshments are not provided. If refreshments are required exhibitors should book these directly with the Official Catering Contractor, Dubai World Trade Centre. Please see the official contractors list for further details.

Social Media

If your company is on LinkedIn or Twitter please connect with the show – the Dubai Airshow company page on LinkedIn here or @DubaiAirshow on Twitter. The hashtag is #DAS19 and we often share exhibitor messages if you tag us in them (sadly we cannot guarantee we will be able to share every one, but we try our best).

Photographers & Photographs

The Dubai Airshow has a team of official photographers who will be taking pictures throughout the show across the full five days. During the show, you can also view and download photos from our official photographers from our Flickr page here.

Please note that our team has an extremely tight schedule and are therefore unable to accommodate requests for specific images or shots. Should you require photos be taken to your own brief, we suggest that you hire your own photographer – we are happy to provide a list of local photographers for your consideration if you require it.

Show Dailies & Media Partners

There will also be publications producing show dailies on site at the Dubai Airshow. The official show daily producers are: Arabian Aerospace, Aviation International News, Aviation Week, Flightglobal and Nation Shield.  Their contact details can be found on our website here  and we highly recommend you get in touch with them ahead of the event to share your news. Please ensure that if  you arrange a meeting or interview with the show dailies ahead of the official opening day, that each interviewee is in possession of an exhibitor pass in order to access the hall. Those holding visitor passes will not be granted access before the show has opened, even with an appointment.

Dubai Airshow also works with a select group of trade and business media as media partners and you can find a list of them here.

Exhibitors’ PR Agency Support

Official PR agencies retained by exhibitors at the Dubai Airshow are welcome to request the registered media database and to get in contact with Kate to discuss opportunities. In addition, they can upload information to the digital press box or book press conference rooms on behalf of their clients, however please ensure that you provide them with your EOS login details directly as we are unable to do this.

Please note that PR Agency staff are not eligible for Press Badges and will not be granted access to the show, or the press centre as media. If you work with a PR Agency and would like their staff to attend, then please ensure that they are provided with exhibitor passes from your allocation, or alternatively they can register as visitors.
